“Confirm that your customers made the right decision to buy from you. It is the quicketst way to profits.”

MY VISION:

When I was in high school, living outside of Baltimore, Maryland, I dreamed that when I could, I would set up a way to educate people that didn’t fit into the system. At that time, it was a noble dream, I didn’t know how I would ever achieve it... but I believed that one day I would.

When I was in college I wondered if each major I was interested in would allow me to bring my dream to reality. Discouraged I left college and went to work in the Republic of China—Taiwan. I spent 5 years teaching English as a second language, teaching teachers how to teach English as a second language, writing curricula and writing children’s storybooks.

While teaching and writing the first major light bulb went off in my life-—I love teaching and writing. This would help me make my dream come true.

I returned to the states to finish college... again trying various majors. One day, while visiting an art major friend, Michael Peery, I was introduced to Graphic Design. I had worked closely with the industry while in Taiwan. Hum? I was in. Still not sure how this would help, I graduated with a BA in Graphic Design from Utah State University in 1999.

One day, my research lead me to an unknown-to-me career called Direct Marketing. In 2004, I got my Masters in Direct Marketing. The first thing I discovered is that I was exceptionally good at it. My background in design and my love of copywriting both helped immensely.

Then, I discovered that the backbone of Direct Marketing is relationship marketing, or simply, better customer service. Customer service had long been one of my favorite subjects. Things were getting very exciting. About this time the second major light bulb went off. “I can use this stuff to make things happen. I am going to write customer service classes.”

I spent two years writing customer service and employee training classes. These classes, Employee Essentials: Excellence in the Workplace—customer service and employee training, are the first fruits of HeartShare-Now, though I didn’t know it at the time.

At the same time I was getting my master degree I started designing most of the images in my art collection. I thought that they would one day become note cards but each time I pursued printing note cards obstacles would come up... frustrating me to no end... but resulting in art.

While I was finishing up writing the last class in the Excellence in the Workplace training classes, I was consulting with Owen Mortensen, owner of PressedLeaf.com. He told me how he planned to grow his business... Light bulb number 3 went off! “Change these images to prints!”

In the middle of preparing the images for print, arranging framing and finding marketing contacts light bulb number 4 went off! “Start the foundation to make it happen!” So, I did!

As a result, a portion of each print sold online is donated to HeartShare-Now to fund, teach, train and educate others to excel—Give a man a fish and he will have food for a day. Teach him to fish and he will have food for life. HeartShare-Now’s mission is “To teach and educate people how to excel...by teaching vital skills of success"

My vision of the future is to be able to provide these classes to anyone desiring to advance their career, improve their life or those who love to learn.
